Nine days

That's right... I get NINE days off of school to spend with Alli, Chris, Jack and doing WHATEVER I WANT!!! I can hardly contain myself!!! I never realize how much I miss having "time off" until I have it and I can see how much I get done :) Today I spent all morning and evening playing with Alli and we had so much fun. Girlfriend is pulling up and standing on everything and taking some steps forward with help from me to hold her up... so fun. She picked up a cold from her friend that stays at her daycare with her so the last few days she's been pretty miserable and night and nap sleep has been affected... but she seemed to be more herself today and ready to play. I'm hoping we are on the mend. Maybe the Vick's baby rub and humidifier are paying off? Who knows. It's probably all a scam to make you spend your money... haha. But she seems to be feeling better, so I'm hoping she can fight it off soon. This afternoon I spent a couple hours shopping with mom at Dazzle Days. Boy, do I miss shopping. Dave has sure put a dent in my shopping budget. Not that I'm complaining because we are using that money to pay off my car and Chris' law school stuff, but I forgot how much I truly enjoy shopping. I love getting good deals, but I love getting new cute clothes even more. Anyways, I got a super cute dress for myself for half price and I got Alli a super cute onesie from a store that I look at all the time and want to order from called Bella Claire Baby. They have the cutest stuff ever. Here is their website. Anyhoo, I also got myself this cute white hairband thing that is apparently "all the rage" right now... I wouldn't know because I live in my school teacher bubble, but thought it was super cute and maybe I could pull it off?! Probably not, but I will definitely try. It's like a hat/ear warmer for when it get's cold. So fun! Anyways, it's amazing how much different my Saturday nights are these days. Chris is in Van Buren at a meet (oh yes, the dreaded meet season has begun), so I spent the night playing with and putting Alli down, making myself some dinner, laundry, dishes, and for the last hour, bow making. A girl that I teach with just had a little girl and she showed me about a month ago before she went on maternity leave how to make bows. I've been DYING to know and I know I don't have much time to do it, but figured I could save A TON of money if I figured out how because girl's clothes are expensive anyways, but bows are CRAZY expensive! Anyways, here's my feeble attempt at a bow. I made one last weekend and here's the one I made tonight. Maybe after I get the hang of it more they will love better. But hey, I got the ribbon half off and have plenty to use it for other bows, so I figured I saved some money right?? Anyways, on another totally random subject, I got all my Operation Christmas Child shoe boxes finished!!!! SO fun!!! I had a blast at Target a couple weeks ago shopping for a couple hours picking out some really neat toys. I sure hope the kids like them. I got 12 boxes packed and now all I need to do is log on and print my boy and girl slips to put on the top. We're going to get to print labels so we can track our boxes and see where they go. I cannot wait! If you haven't ever done OCC before, you need to check out their website and do some. It's just so fun and I cannot wait to have Alli shop with us and get things to pack our boxes next year. Here's a short video about it... I know it starts with Veggie Tales, but watch the rest. You can go to their website here to read more about it. Anyways, tomorrow is the last day to bring in boxes to Fellowship because they'll be packing up and driving the van down to the relay center in LR I think tomorrow afternoon. I wish I had time to do a few more, but alas, time has run away again. Anyways, I went to LR for a conference yesterday which was ok, but I got to go out with all the girls last night and see Breaking Dawn! I would have to say I was semi-disappointed... I guess I was expecting better. But it was great, just as usual, not near as good as the book... or maybe my imagination?? It was fun to spend time with all the girls though outside of school and just chat... and not about school stuff. We had a great time and I'm so thankful I love who I work with. Anyways, I need to get to bed... Hope you all have a great weekend. I'll hopefully post some fun Thanksgiving festivity pictures next week.
