This picture was taken for our Christmas gift for Mrs. Damitra... We LOVE her!!
We're 8 months and SO MUCH FUN!!! A good friend of mine from highschool that I caught up with over Thanksgiving break told me she really loved and remembered starting to really enjoy her little girl when she turned 7 months, and I would definitely have to say I've felt the same way. This past month has definitely been my most favorite! Alli has really been so much fun. She has always been a drama queen and moody at times, but she has been so much happier now that she is on the move. She crawls everywhere so fast and loves playing "chase" with us and Jack. She laughs SO much at Jack and loves being chased or having us chase her. She has 5 teeth and we finally got a teeth break for several weeks and she seemed so much better. We're working on number 6 so we're drooling a lot! Anyways, I just love this stage so much. She LOVES to play and play hard. I swear she has more energy than any kid I've ever known. We really have to play HARD and wear her out otherwise she has such a tough time going down for naps because she's simply not tired. I like it that we have 2 naps still, and I'm scared she's wanting to drop the 2nd one already. Some days if she takes a long morning one then she won't go down for a second one because she's a ball of energy. I cannot even explain my excitement about being off 2 weeks with her!!! We are going to have so much fun!! She still eats lots of fruits, veggies, puffs, mum mums, crackers, etc. I have yet to try some more "real food" with her... I cannot wait though. I wish I had an unlimited budget and I could shop and get her lots of cute clothes... but it's not on the Dave budget and as fast as she grows these days anyways it's almost not worth it. She loves to play with other babies, but is definitely not the best "sharer" and likes to take things from other kids.... oops, I guess she got that from her mom :) Anyways, I have love, love, loved this last month and cannot wait to see what fun new things we'll be doing at 8 months. I'm honestly expecting her to walk in the next 2 because she pulls to stand on everything, and has a couple times pushed up on her own and stood for a couple seconds. I truly think once she figures out standing on her own she'll be on the move! On a side note, tomorrow is Friday and my last day of school before break.... WAHOO!!! Happy Thursday!
