9 months

Cheese! What me? Sit still? Yeah right!
Happy 9 months Alli!! These last couple months have been SO much fun! After we got past teeth and into the stage of movement, things have sure become fun! We went to Alli's checkup last week and everything went smooth. Here's some fun stats:
*She's 17 lbs. 13 oz. (32nd percentile)
*28" tall! (64th percentile)
*Crawling is super easy and I think walking is coming soon! She's stood by herself several times for small amounts of time, but then sits back down.
*She waves hi and bye, claps a lot, and gives the best hugs!!
*She does NOT sit still. The girl is more active than any kid I've ever seen. I swear she only sits still when she sleeps.
*Naps are hit and miss. More often better, but not always wonderful. She's taking 2, one morning and one afternoon.
*We've tried lots of new "foods," and have had an allergic reaction to some "cheesy munchy things," so Dr. Champlin told us to wait before introducing anything new until we go to the allergist.
*I'm sad that I have to take her to an allergy doctor, but we know it's best. Her last flare up was red and swelling all over her face and fingers and I didn't know what to do to stop it. I think she's allergic to milk maybe, I hope not though. So for now it's lots of fruits, veggies, cheerios, crackers, meats, and noodles. We stopped yogurt, yogurt melts, puffs and munchies. We go into the allergy doctor in a couple weeks so I'm excited/nervous etc. to see what we find out. Honestly I hope nothing, but at the same time I hope something because her poor skin has been so awful for so long. Dr. Champlin told us that allergies, eczema and asthma are all in the same "family group" and generally if you have one you are more likely to have another. If you think about us, pray for us and the appointment. Drawing blood and doing skin tests on a baby aren't going to be fun. She thankfully doesn't have problems breathing or anything, it's just her skin is constantly screaming red and her fingers are swollen most days so I know it has to be something she eats.
*She has 6 teeth and I think we are working on 7 and 8 because she's been drooling constantly and has been a little fussy the last couple days.
*She LOVES other kids. Especially little boys. She laughs at them and flirts with them constantly. Lord help us!
*She does great in the nursery, loves Mrs. Damitra, loves her grandparents and love, love, loves Jack! She hugs him constantly and holds onto him. Maybe one day he'll like her too!? He tolerates her, but I'm hoping he'll reciprocate the love one day.
*We are constantly told that she is such a pretty, independent baby and I sure think so too. She really has beautiful blue eyes (I know I'm biased!).
*Her hair is coming in and it's curly! These pictures don't show it, but after bath time it curls up big time. SO FUN!

Here's some pictures of our play date with Carter today. We LOVE him and LOVE his momma! 9 month fun pictures will hopefully come this weekend when I have some help to get her dressed, set in cute places, and smiling!
